Crewmembers working on the film Rust when actor and well-respected Hollywood treasure Alec Baldwin reportedly accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza with a prop gun tell The Brown Valley Observer that Baldwin had choice words for the camera crew — and specifically Hutchins — in the hours leading up to the incident.
Several members of the film production report that the Baldwin was annoyed that he appeared “old and disheveled” in footage he had reviewed from the production and had begun making forceful demands of the camera crew to capture him in a more flattering manner.
One camera technician associated with the film told our reporters that a belligerent Baldwin had told the camera crew “I’m tired of playing this game with you. You’ve insulted me for the last time! You don’t have the brains or decency as a human being … I don’t care that (director) Souza is a thoughtless pain in the ass. You have humiliated me for the last time with this camera!“
The technician said “Baldwin barked “I’m going to let you know just how disappointed in you I am, and how angry I am with you that you’ve done to me again” at us while beads of sweat rolled from his receding hairline down his chubby, angry red face.”
“I’ve seen (Baldwin) do great comedy and, frankly, the man literally wrote a book on parenting, so this was the last thing I was expecting,” the crewmember explained. “My friends in Hollywood have always painted him out to be a really great guy.”
Several members of the crew had walked off the set due to working conditions, but according to a crewmember who stayed behind to help complete the production, the hostile actor eventually singled out Halyna Hutchins, a Ukrainian cinematographer working on the film, and focused his anger on her.
“This crap you’ve pulled with me with this camera that you’d never dream of doing to Glenn Howerton and you do it to me constantly and over and over again,” Baldwin allegedly screamed at Hutchins.
“I’m going to straighten your ass out, you hear me? I’m going to really make sure that you get it. You’d better be ready after the shoot to meet with me so I can let you know just how I feel about what a rude little pig you are. You are a rude, thoughtless little pig!” Baldwin vented, belittling Hutchins, according to the crewmember.
A few hours later, Baldwin reportedly fired a prop gun which, allegedly unbeknownst to Baldwin, contained a live round, killing Hutchins and injuring director Souza in what is currently being investigated as an accident. As of press time, Baldwin has not been charged with any crime.
